Can you check something for me please?
Is there a gap (5mm or so) between the driveside bearing and the inside of the crank, with the things fitted? I've got 2 pairs of SS cranks and both have this gap ... just thought it seemed a little odd.

yep there is, just looked at my lads bike and there's a gap of about 5mm, they used to be fitted to my old bike and can't say i ever noticed a problem.my lad doesn't seem to be having any issues either so i woudn't worry too much if i were you.

Cheers for that mmb ... didn't want to put it all together to only take it apart agai, workshop's far too cold for that sort of carry on 😉
