Is it a noticable improvement over QR skewers?
I currently have an F120 QR fork and DT Swiss 370 hubs which I don't think convert to 9mm QR - annoying. So I will have to rebuild the wheels with new hubs to get a stiffer clamping system.
It's just that it will be much cheaper just replacing the hub/QR than also buying a new 15mm bolt through fork (£600) or replacing the fork lowers (£170).
Anyone done this?
I paid £50 to upgrade from standard qr to 9mm bolt-thru and I found it money well spent. Noticeably stiffer on my 130mm revs.
Don't think I'd spend £100s though - not a big enough difference to justify that amount of cash, plus your fork is shorter and less flexy than mine.
ok ta
I have a nice DT 240 hub 9mm built to a DT 4.2 rim for sale ready to go, VGC.
