[#2568052]

just measured mine up and theyre too long for the ends (titec h-bars)

just wondered if anyone else had any experience of twistgrip and h-bars, or whether they had to switch to shimano, or sram thumb-shifters or whatever.

or are there any other options to get my hands in that 'h-bar position' rather than normal bars? bought some marys a while back but just sold em straight on cos they weighed the same as pig-iron!!

cheers

i assume you mean on the 'horn' part of the bars? theyre the all-in-one levers arent they, so theyd be in pretty much the same place as my brake levers. its just the gears that id have problems with. been googling, and it doesnt look good for the h-bar/gripshift combination :-/

Jones Loop or Cut H bar would work, I think: http://www.jonesbikes.com/h-bar.html

I tried a Rohloff shifter with my h-bars, loop and original style.

It just doesn't work well enough. Too bulky to use the "H" position comfortably and too far away for good shifting on either the horns or the main grip ends.

I'm back to dual controls and thumbshifters on different bikes.

hmmm thanks chaps. i was hoping to get some more titec jobbies, but it looks like it wont work too good with my geared set up ๐Ÿ™

theres no other bars besides marys that put your hands in that position are there?
