In the market for some 29er forks and looking not to spend too much.

These guys appear quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere for forks - looking at these for example:

http://www.bike-discount.de/shop/k1027/a55899/recon-silver-tk-29-soloair-100-9mm-black.html

But i've never ordered from abroad before or heard of these guys. Anyone got any bad/good experiences to share...?

Yes they are fine. The German shops esp Rose are often the place to go if you need something quickly.

Yes really good and bike24, first time though bank didn't authorise payment as I'd never spent large amounts abroad. May be worth informing them first.

Ordered a lot of items from them over the last 18 months with no issue. Never had to return anything so not sure about refund /return policy or cost of sending things back.

Usually takes about 5 days to get your stuff by courier.

They also do price match which I have also used(if you're buying a load of items and can't be bothered ordering through loads of different sites).

Ordered a pair of Keo carbons from there earlier, £20 cheaper than anywhere else (including delivery).

Sounds promising...

Yes & bike24; excellent service. In fact, bike 24 got a set of Bos deville to me within 48 hrs. Can't praise them enough.

No problems with bike discount.de just received a pair of Schwalbe Ice Spikers, they were the best price and delivery was a couple of days.

Have found Bike-discount.de excellent on price, but pretty unhelpful when it comes to anything outside the standard automated order process.

Bike-components.de on the other hand, are pretty close on price and will price match Bike-discount anyway, and are much more helpful. For example they always answer emails within 24hrs, are willing to spend days tracking down obscure little components for me that aren't on their web site, and deal patiently and efficiently with me when I muck them around by changing my mind about things already on order!

Agreed. Just cross your fingers it doesn't go wrong at any stage.

I ordered some brakes 5 weeks ago that DPD lied about delivery on, i've been jumping through hoops ever since & still no money back or brakes.

Starting to get a bit tedious now.
