Any negative impact?

Nothing amazingly unexpected - the Revs are lighter and not as burly. It was on a Specialized Pitch and I only missed the brawn on loose rock strewn descents and the rest of the time it wss much better with the Revs.

I did, but it was on a bike that wasn't really suited to lyriks and was much better off with revs spaced down to 130. Just because a hardtail can handle 160 forks doesn't mean it'll handle with 160 forks ๐Ÿ™‚

spesh pitch - just cannot get the lyriks to feel right ๐Ÿ™ Medium spring is too firm and soft is too soft!

I swapped from Lyriks to revs on my 5 spot, to be honest i didn't really like them, they felt kinda flexi when hammering them.

Got Magura Thors and they are just as light and plush but noticeably stiffer than the revs ๐Ÿ™‚

Swapped the other way - from Rev RLT Ti to Lyrik RC2DH. Far stiffer, a good bit more supple with more 'patter' over roots and small bumps. Extra weight makes the front harder to loft but easier to point and shoot. Ideal in the Peak District.

A few days ago someone mentioned some Lyrik seals which make them more supple, maybe worth trying them with the medium spring?

not quite but Marz 55's, All Mountains, Fox 36's and Revs on a heckler and a 456

Revs keep coming off, they are light but just too flexi for my liking. They are also dual air an can never get the damm things set right.

they seem harsh on repeated hits - only issue

Have you checked the oil level in the Lyriks?

If you can't tune with springs then perhaps some slightly heavier or lighter oil in the damper would do it?

Have a look at the floodgate removal thingy video that is on PinkBike that makes the fork more active.

Ones with lockout? If so doing the removal mod makes them more supple ( keep the medium spring). The suggested base setting from SRAM was 4-4-2 iirc, sounds like you have too much compression or rebound to fast perhaps? Love the Lyriks on my Pitch.

done the floodgate removal - the compression clicks don't seem to do anything so will have a look at oil levels.

Damper could be stuffed also, the clicks definately do make a difference.

I would do a service on it TBH before getting a different fork, unless you had a mind to change anyway.

I put Revs on my Mmmbop a month ago after riding it with 36's for nine months.

I'm not enjoying the Revs as much ๐Ÿ˜•

The Rev's are Teams with 20mm Maxle and 1.5" steerer; so top end damping and the stiffest version of the fork (run at 130/140mm. 36 dropped to 130mm so same length). Damping wise they feel okay until the going gets gnar... at which point they just don't seem to be able to recover from one hit before the next. They also flex back and forth quite a lot and I can feel them "twang" sometimes after a frontal impact which is worrying when it means your not on the line you want to be anymore. Similarly the lack of torsional stiffness means I'm having to work harder to hold lines.
I quite like the lockout... but I don't like that I have to use it so often as the fork likes to wallow more than the 36 did when honking out of the saddle.

The Rev's are a much lighter fork though which has its benefits but for the riding I like to do the 36's are better and I miss them (on another bike).

I have the damper mod in my coil lyrics, and a custom valve from Jtech,
they were good but amazing now..

also have coil sektors dropped to 140mm with dual flow damper, dual position spring 110-140mm and 20mm axle - these are great as well..like a mini lyric,

revs/sektors etc run much stiffer at 140mm IMO

I have a pitch and have just sold my Lyriks to get some rct3 Revs from zee Hibike shop.
Had my lyriks set with 4 clicks high speed and 0 low with Floodgate removed.
Awesome forks through the rough.
