I know modern bike geo has meant these are no longer so relevant but I really like them (when they work). Anyone still doing them that you know of? 29er boost? Cheers

What do you like about them ? Is it that you do want to alter your HA ? As you say, on modern bikes they now seem pointless. Just curious.

I had a set of Fox 36 Talas on my old Covert. They did help with steep hills, but now on my new bikes (Capra, Jeffsy, Scott) it's just not needed.

As above, the only thing they were good for was compensating for a slack seat angle, once manufacturers started to sort out geometry, they were no longer needed - most of them massively compromised the performance and/or reliability of the fork too, coil U-Turn being the exception.

I think Scott still do bikes with a huge mess of cables and travel adjustable suspension if you really feel the need for something unreliable.

Also, bottom bracket heights are lower than during that era - drop your fork by 30-40mm and technical climbs will become very annoying!

I had some two step lyriks on a gt sanction 130/160 and 2 step revelations on a salsa horsethief 120/140.

They made all the difference when climbing steep climbs, they stopped the front wheel lifting.

I keep thinking I'd like another set but I don't seem to have the same problem with lifting front wheels anymore.

I thought RockShox still make Dual Position forks.

Used to love my Mx Pro with ETA . Made steep smooth climbs so much easier. Only problem was forgetting it was on for the descent.
