Have you used personally? Last time I bought JRA were popular. Thanks for the advice.

Got a pair from moonglu this year.

The wheels were excellent and the rear stayed true despite a mech going into it at some speed and taking out a number of spokes.

Baz at Two Wheels in Stourbridge will build to order, in fact I'd have thought most LBS's will.

I got a set in september from Evo Cycles good service and a good build. The build was i9 Hydras and EX511 rims, they arrived well packaged, all the spokes were evenly tensioned and both wheels were perfectly straight. Would I order from them again, yes.

Got a set from https://www.ptcycles.co.uk/index/ a couple of months ago. Excellent customer service and they look good, though still sat in the box in the eternal wait for my frame.

RyanBuildsWheels gets a 👍 from me. I've had one pair of road wheels and have just ordered a pair of Factotum Gravel in 650b flavour.

I’ve used 18 Bikes a couple times and can happily recommend them.

Never had an issue despite being a talentless FF.

My (and many others') usual answer to this, if you're in Scotland is Big Al at https://www.wheelcraft.net/

Thanks everyone, might ask 18 bikes as it gives me an excuse to go up north.

Anyone know what rims are on DT M1900, I’m looking at going for shimano hubs on some cheapish rims.

It'll be one of the XM or M series "all mountain" rims on this page...

Baz at Two Wheels in Stourbridge

He did a full rebuild on my Mondraker wheel that kept snapping spokes. Absolutely top notch job.

Albany Cycles in Cov, Simon is main wheel wizard.

Tony Butterworth Cycles in Shef, Mick is your man.

All my wheel, for last 14 years is from either one or another.

Cheers!
I.

+1 for Baz @TwoWheels (just driven past and even though they’re shut Sundays someone is busy in the workshop)

And another +1 for 18bikes

Do you not have a local bike shop...? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Serious question by the way... Where are you based? Nothing against 18 Bikes (far from it, they're top lads!) but there's thousands of LBS' the country over, most with experienced wheel builders working in their workshops.
