Anyway if you are could you measure the width of the tyre at the widest point please. As tyres don't always run true to supposed size I want to see what I can use. Looking for the biggest knobbly I can get in my Cotic X.
Not much help really but my 2.1 crossmarks measure 53mm
Kenda Karma 1.9 = 52mm
Conti Race King 2.0 pumped to approx 30-35psi = 47mm
Michelin XC AT 29 X 2.0

Now does a narrow rim squeeze big tyres round and fat or tall and narrow?
narrow rim will make the profile more "pinched" so you will get a taller thinner tyre (ish)
I have a pair of 1.9 karma 29ers you can have for a couple of nice/unusual beers
Schwalbe Little Albert 2.1" = 51mm
Continental Race King 2.2" = 53mm
Specialized Fast Trak 2.0" = 55mm
Michelin XC AT 2.0" = 54mm
Specialized The Captain 2.0" = 54mm
