I've not bothered the forum too much with tyre questions in the past so feel i'm due some!
a combination of rigid, singlespeed and more aggressive riding is taking its toll on the largish volume lightweight tyres I'm used to running, so I need something slightly more robust, but maybe not 1kg + robust!
Some of the single ply/72tpi Intense tyres weigh in at 850g approx and seem to have pretty versatile looking tread patterns, so does anyone use them, are they any good?
I asked about some Specialized Eskars below and there were one too many mentions of damaged sidewalls for my liking...

Have used CC2.25 in the past, they were pretty good tyres. Can't use them tubless though
No tubeless?
I've managed to ghetto tubeless pretty much every tyre I've tried, what was wrong with the Intense?
I've run System 1 and 2 + CC's tubeless with stans and latex with no problem.
would recommend them, in fact - systems are great in dry conditions and CC's are good all rounders.
