Would this work with 35c cx tyres?
mate borrowed my 29er wheels with cross tyres on for cross racing.
Lts of room in the frame, kinesis - not so much under the fork (think it was a reba)
Cheers. Would be a rigid fork. I'm guessing the 700x35c will squeeze under a 26 rigid.
You'll get 29 x 2.4" in a 440mm fork, in fact that would fit in a 420mm fork too.
700 x 37 fits in rear of 26" Inbred.
If you fit 35mm front and rear you'll raise BB a bit, maybe 1/2" compared to 26 x 2.3".
I'm running my old Maxlight XC120 with 29er wheels and CX tyres. I can't remember off the top of my head how big the back tyre is but there's loads of clearance. I would have thought any 700cc tyre will fit in there because they are 28" high and obviously width isn't an issue.
I'm using 440mm carbon forks on the front and as mentioned above I can fit a 29er tyre in there with loads of clearance.
erm, can i ask why?
Because I had a load of bits hanging around. So I thought I'd build a commute bike for the worst of the winter conditions to save my nice shiny road bike from getting trashed during the dark months.
Cheers, confirms what I thought.

SS Tinbred with 29er wheels in it. Big apple up front and a marathon supreme on the back. Was lots of fun.
