Yup, I've got an LT2 - had it since June last year. Got the RP23 shock. Only ever use the propedal on the road - it climbs better offroad with no propedal. The owner of my LBS rides one and reckons the air shock is most suited to the LT whereas he favours the coil on the Nomad

I rode an LT2 on a demo day yesterday & pretty much concluded that it'll be my next bike. Just feels really well sorted, a better climber than my horst Fivespot, but feels at least as capable on the bigger stuff. This one had an RP23 on it.

pedalhead, you will love it. What sort of build you planning? You have probably already sussed out that the build kits are much better value than just buying the frame and sourcing independently. My LBS allowed me to substitute some of the build kit parts that he knew he could sell through the shop, so I managed a bit of customisation at build kit prices

Yep love my LT with the RP23. Had the shock tuned by Mojo and now don't use the propedal at all.

It does everything i want it to and can take anything i can throw at it, after which it looks at me as if to say 'is that it'

Twice the bike i will ever need & i wouldn't sell it plus the warranty back up from Jungle i found to be top notch.

Well I'm rather tempted by the LT2 carbon 😛 . Thinking either some 2010 Revs or maybe 150mm DT Swiss forks (although I don't like the price of the latter). I'm waiting for SCB to announce the build kits before deciding the precise build, but it's likely I might be porting some of the components from my Fivespot, as this ain't gonna be a cheap bike!

pedalhead, the Carbon is not a lightweight LT. It's an XC bike with different geometry designed to take 100mm forks. If you want XC race go for the Carbon; if you want "all mountain with 140/150mm travel go LT2

jamesgarbett - the LT1 is still a stonking bit of kit

I suspect you're thinking of the carbon XC? There's also a carbon LT coming out in a couple of months... http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009/04/new-blur-lt-carbon/

LT carbon runs the exact same geometry as the alloy one!

Its the same "all mountain" bike as yours, its just carbon and lighter!

Santa Cruz spiel:

It's a nimble, fast climbing, flex-free, confidence inspiring, trail bombing demon of a bike. Build it up however you want - there are no weight restrictions or fork travel limits to worry about - then ride it hard as you dare.

I think you're getting your wires crossed up with the carbon Blur XC.

Ah my mistake. Didn't know they were doing a carbon version. The prices must be eyewatering. My only question would be if its going to be built as an AM bike with relatively heavy bits is it worth the money for the small weight saving? Also have to say I love my ano finish as it just doesn't seem to scratch on rocks and stuff like ordinary finishes

Edit - just looked at the link. Very covetable but that'll be £2500 for the frame - serious dosh

Yep had one for almost 3 years now - love it and the RP23; I use the pro-pedal depending on conditions.
