I noticed a brand new "black" descent whilst I was riding the Zig Zag section, although I can't find any mention of it on mbwales or the Afan Forest facebook page. Anyone ridden it yet? Good enough to skip the awesome final section of zig zags?

I saw the sign a few weeks ago. Didn't notice any "competition only" notes on it, Just signed "Black".

Yes if you like a challenge! - completely different to riding the zig zags descent. With tight steep turns, off camber roots and rocks!

As above it was used as a stage on one of the national enduro's- although it has been modified slightly to make some of the turns easier to make since that race.

Yea, been there a while and is known locally as S4, steep and techy. Probably a bit too steep for a lot of visitors.
