As per my title really, does anyone or has anyone owned or tried the high pivot gen 3 Norco Optic?

If so, how did you find it? I am curious about one, as i had the previous generation, which i loved. Most reviews of this bike seemed to be pretty positive. Although they are fairly thin on the ground in the UK.

Any feedback is appreciated.

thanks!

The rental bikes from the bike company in La Palma were coil shocked high pivot. The riders who borrowed them were impressed. One lad is a big nukeproof fan, but reckoned the Norco was as good DH and way better pedalling than his Mega. They seem pretty sturdy as well based on the abuse those trails hand out!

I wanted a Sight at the end of last year based on the spec/reviews/looks but couldn't find anywhere with decent enough offers on them (the Lyrik/AXS equipped ones had been knocking out at less than 3 grand but I missed the boat - all the other places which had them were £4k+).

I have a mate that’s selling one. He’s an mtb coach and was impressed, but has got a new job and is thinning the fleet.

cheers for that info folks! Looks like Pauls has complete bikes and framesets, so i might take a punt! Seems to cover the short travel, but burly trail bike category that i am after. Failing that, i might look at a Fluid.

This for £2161 if you can do C2W looks a bargain; although, I'd like to know how they ride for general XC stuff.

I did a 100km ride with my mate on his on a mix of surfaces. He had burly tyres and me and my other mate were on carbon hardtails with xc tyres. Considering he was pretty unprepared for the ride it worked really well for him.
