I've just booked a solo place at MM for my first ever bike race. If anyone needs a lift from Manchester area then give me a shout.

Also, do you know if the food stands are heinously busy or if it's possible to avoid the queues if you're a solo with no support?
I think I know the answer to that question but thought I'd ask given the huge amount of food that I eat and the fact that I'm not supported. Otherwise I'll be spending most of the weekend queueing for nosh

Food stands are normally ok. I've never queued for my bacon sandwich at 3am on sunday!!. Respect for doing your first solo unsupported, I don't know what I'd do without the missus telling me to MTFU and get back out.

*Doffs cap for your first race being 24hr solo unsupported*

Is there really no-one that could help you, it's a massive help so you can concentrate on the matter at hand, hell I'd offer but I'm racing elsewhere.

It's not so much that people have refused to do support; more that I haven't asked.

I'm a complete punter, who's just aiming not to be last, so I don't have this view that anyone else should give up their weekend and lose sleep just so I can have a jolly on the bike. If I knew anyone that was up for going then to he honest I'd much rather they entered as well and we shared the experience that way.

I can see that it would be totally different if I was any sort of contender. There would be a huge benefit in having a support crew to assist.
