[#11400552]

We're in Garda currently and struggling a little to book shuttle uplifts due to minimum rider requirements. It's fairly quiet here, but only compared with August.

So, if anyone else on this forum is coming out next week, or already here, and wants to join forces to book shuttles for a few days, give me a shout. My email is in my profile.

Take a 40 min car ride up to Paganella bike park for a decent dose of lift assisted riding.

Nice view of the lake from the top, too...

Are you in Riva or Torbole?

Main guys in Torbole are bike shuttle station (next to liteville) and Velo lake (used to be Luca). Noticed this year that they are no longer prepared to run shuttles as loss leaders when they make a fortune on the tremalzo trips on a nice day.

I’m not long back from a week. Couple of options as we had the same problem on marginal weather days. The Germans are fair weather riders. Velo lake were arseholes sometimes cancelling just as we arrived at 9:15

Try the Garda bike shop in Riva, they were running more shuttles on marginal days than Velo lake. Just need to spin along the lake first thing. Although most of their uplifts were Ledro/Tremalzo side.

The other guys, Scott flags behind Meki’s would do a private shuttle for 80Euros. Speak to Ben Shiel in the Liteville shop, they are hiring out test bikes all the time and not just ebikes. He could maybe get you to hook up with others.

Velo lake would also do Skull/Val Diaol/Navene for three people in the afternoon 45Euro spend. Despite shitty weather we ended up.

Sunday - Navene
Monday - Skull then some steep shit from Nago to Arco
Tuesday - Tremalzo, Malga Riu to Ledro (Variation from Malga Caset), gnarly ponale
Wednesday - Tremalzo, Classico Alternate singletrack to Pregasina then gnarly ponale
Thursday - Altissimo - full 601
Friday - Tremalzo, Classico alternative down to Ledro via Leder Trail (spectacular) brings you out below Molina and then gnarly ponale to finish

Pagnatella is a good shout, due to lack of numbers most of the arco trails, montezugna and pagnatella were not being serviced by the shuttles. You can self drive there though.

Huge amount of people riding up on ebikes instead. Luca retire/sold up at the right time!!

Thanks Monster. This is my 5th trip here, missing Luca! Guess he sold to Velolake. I'll look into those Tremalzo variations you mentioned, I don't recognize those trail names you mentioned. We're going there today and will try 222 (Roots in Fire?) instead of the 400m gravel descent to Passo Notte. Micheal Cycle from Liteville did show me one variation a few years ago.

No Monte Zugna unfortunately, apparently Covid guiding restrictions stopped that (though we hooked up with a guide in Livigno last week easily enough).

Some of Paganella is now shut unfortunately.

Monster - so the Ponale section is now closed for 6 months. Was that the case when you rode here? I can't see any obvious alternative other than the tunnel road...

Is it worth riding to Malcesine and taking the cable up to the top of Mt Baldo?

Ive done that a couple of times, they have specific cars for bikes (15mins past the hour IIRC)

I wish I was there!!
