If so, what are conditions like on the Red trail? Also, has any more hardcore been laid or are there still piles of it (still) sitting about?!
It's a bog all the piles are still there but I think they are sorting a shorter lap in the next 2 months hopefully.
A shorter lap?! Surprising, given the existing route isn't that long...

Trails – The FC met with DT Leisure and a Civil engineer on 13 Nov 12. DT Leisure has agreed that they will create a section of solid blue trail with the possibility of red features being added with the Clubs assistance in the future. They have agreed to give 10 free days of work and this will be completed before the end of March 13. The Civil engineer is drawing up plans to link a section of the red. The loop will be slightly shorter decreasing part of the trail from 6 ½km to 4 ½km and will be 1.2m wide. After the Civil Engineer has completed their plans it will enter the Operational stage whereby the FC will check that the intended trail is not impeding into flora/forna. The subject of signage was raised amongst the members present. It is a concern that the width of the trail may make it easy for dog walkers etc. to stray onto the bike trail. This question will be raised to the FC.
Hi there. I am one of the Wakerley Wheelers. Come and join in - the more the merrier. We have regular rides on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, as well as at other times (e.g. Saturdays) as suits. All abilities and styles of bike. The trails in WW have suffered with the weather, but there are some routes still worth riding there and across in Fineshade too (it aint dusty though)
