Had my 2007 frame Meta 4.2 for over a year now and I like it a lot. I do find it really flexy at the back however. It doesn't bother me much usually but now and again at speed it feels like the back tyre is punctured. I am a big chap which doesnt help but I never noticed anything similar on my coiler deluxe, which was a lot sturdier full suss but much heavier.

Weird.

I've got a 2008 Meta 5 and it is noticeably flexy, to the extent that the guy riding behind me thought it was broken.

same got a '08 meta and it is very flexy. 12mm bolt through helps but only to tie the stays together.

After trying around 15 bikes I got down to a Meta or Remedy.....and it was the flexiness that put me off the Meta.

Didn't they do a upgrade for the rear end? Or was that just the Maxle?

Have you checked your rear wheel? I had a similar problem with my Meta 4, and found that a properly built rear wheel reduced a lot of flex - I was running a very light set of rims, and swapping to something a bit stiffer and more tightly built helped.
