Just trying to use the same old link (verified on veloviewer site) for overlaying an OS map onto Strava rides, but it doesn't appear to be working any more for me.

Anyone else having trouble?

Nope not working any longer for me either- Google Chromium on Linux, it worked fine up until a month ago.

edit- going to email them, will let you know the answer.

Don't bother emailing them, change the map to Satellite in Strava, it will work then.

Veloviewer has gone over to a paid for service, so you can now only see your last 6 months of ride or similar, so perhaps the mapflipper function is paid for now as well?

I get a shield in the URL bar when I use the bookmarklet - need to click this shield, allow unsafe script, then click the bookmarklet again to load the OS tiles.

(chrome; satellite view trick didn't work for me)

The satellite view trick no longer works for me, also (firefox).

Damn that was a fantastic app! I wonder how complicated it would be to write a similar app yourself (just for personal use of course). Calling the OS map must be simple, but it needs to be aligned and moveable with the strava map.
Never written a line of computer code in my life, like, so basically have no idea 🙂

Nope for me as well, that's a real shame, 'twas very useful for planning rides.

Answer from Ben at Veloviewer-

Strava have recently switched from http to https which results in Chrome blocking the loading of the script.

If you go to http://dev.veloviewer.com/mapFlipper and update your bookmarks to these updated versions then it should start working for you (these use an https version of my scripts)

Don't use that Dev version of VeloVeiwer for anything else though as it might do horrible things to your data!

http://veloviewer.com/mapFilpper

Is the correct link. Ben requests that we use this one not the one I posted above in error ( mods can you remove it?) which is the development site

eviljoe your last link says mapfilpper not mapflipper :0

it works though
but just to clarify
when you choose the OS bookmark you dont need to change to satellite view but you may need to zoom in.
if you want the cycle openmap view to work you do need to change to satellite view to get it to work
hope that helps someone.
