Ive got a set of 650B non boost wheels sat here that are 30mm wide (internal)
Was thinking of fitting them to my Tempest and was wondering how wide i can go with the tyres before clearance becomes an issue
According to Planet X the Tempest can take a 50mm (1.95in) tyre if using 650B wheels
Anyone running 50mm tyres on 30mm internal rims on a Tempest? are the rims just too wide for 50mm tyres or do they cope fine
Will be used for riding on the road to get to gravel paths and trails then used off road
Ive got a set of 700c carbon wheels for commuting duties
I have 47mm WTBs on 650b DT Swiss G1800 wheels - so 28mm rim external, 24mm internal.
There’s plenty of room with that combination, but it’s a little less than you want.
And a set of 32mm GP5000 on 700c DT Swiss G1800 for commuting - same hub, easy swap.
