After just over a years use i noticed yesterday that one of the fastening straps on my Specialized MTB spd shoes has started to split where it goes around the metal buckle/ loop. I am going to write to wiggle to see if its a warranty job.
I had Shimano SPD shoes before and they just were just worn out after about 4 years use so this failure seems a bit premature to me??
had some spesh shoes for about 3 years now- still good as new velcro wise, ratchet a bit sticky tho'.
I have a pair of Specialized shoes bought from Wiggle and one of the ratchet straps broke. E-mailed wiggle about warranty , they said they dont stock Specialized any more and I would have to contact Specialized. Specialized said they would only cover warranty if it was bought from a Specialized appointed dealer.
I ended up buying a new strap so all I can say is best of luck with your warranty claim.
