I bought a 2019 epic in the sale. I haven't been on it yet.
I set up the shock and fork yesterday but when on the internet I found a post on mtbr (long thread) all about the nightmares people have with the shock failing.
Jesus...hope this doesn't start happening.
So does anyone have a 2017+ specialized with brain...and have they had issues?
Its a Specialized, they will look after you. I wouldn't worry.
As above just ride it. Between us over the years we have had a few fail. 5th Element Air, Cane Creek Air. Specialized were first class. I once had some of their forks fail in Les Arcs and a quick phone call to them and they had organised for me to take them to the local dealer to be repaired the same day.
I only wish when my Lyriks failed in Verbier, only purchased the week before for the holidays, that I could have got the same level of service. I was told that although they have a worldwide guarantee they must come back to the UK for the repair. Cost me 300ChF to get them repaired in order to continue the riding holiday.
I guess there are thousands of happy specialized brain owners happily riding their bikes....and we only hear from the relatively few unhappy owners who take to the internet?
Hope it's like that anyway
