Anyone got Motorola Defy... Turn off data?
New to android and touch screens ๐
Just got a Defy and need to be sure I've turned the chargeable data off, at home so can use Wifi
Oh and can you add contacts by hooking the USB cable up to the PC? Is there asoftware that interfaces with the phone?
cheers
incase anyone comes across this thread and has this problem
now sorted by downloading free app "Quick Settings" from android store
I've got the battery app and it has a quick access to switching the wifi on. When I switch the wifi on the 3G symbol disappear so don't use the mobile data.
Re the contacts, I just copied them on a sim card from my old phone, copied to the new phone and it then sync it with my gmail account so all contacts are backed up on my email as well.
How's the Motorola? I've got an Dext running Android 2.1 but like the idea of a bit more rugged phone. Will probably look at Milestone as well. Just wonder whether it's quick and easy to use.
Seems fast enough to me.. Ive never owned an android before though or touch screen
It was the toughness that attracted me.. years ago I had a benq tough phone.. then a nokia for quite some time.. this is much better though ๐
Yeah ill prob try and do it via gmail ta
