Doesn't seem to be much online about them. I'd be interested in some long term user reviews.

I'm assuming it's just the LHT with disc brakes so should be bombproof? What's the weight like?

And all being well, I'm going to get myself one, but is there anything out there that I should also be looking at? Kona Sutra? I like the idea of the Spa Cycles Ti jobby, but disc brakes are essential for me.

built myself a disc trucker up 6 weeks ago, after owning 2 x lht's in the past.
nice tidy frame, easy to build up, very sturdy like all surly stuff.
what is not to like. 8)

How much does it weigh? What's it like to ride unloaded?

I'd love to test ride one, but nowhere local does 'em.

not sure about the weight....over 30lbs how i have built it.
rides like a nice comfy steel bike....sedate, but ideal for distance.
you can ride mine if you are near leeds.

Also consider the Salsa Fargo and Vaya.

Not sure if it's much help but I have a regular trucker as my only road bike .

Lovely bike to ride. Relaxed geometry suits me just fine. Frame quality is good. Weight is about what you'd expect from a tourer, ie frame weight is a couple pounds over a regular racer.

Rides unloaded perfectly well.

I can't imagine any of those attributes are different on the disc version.

Cheers Ton, I'm in Sunderland unfortunately, so a bit too far.

I've looked at the Salsas, but they're not really doing it for me.

I looked at the Disctrucker when I was planning some touring. The thing that put me off was the bar-end shifters. I know I can change it to standard brake lever shifters but that is quite a lot of money on top.

Kona are dropping the Sutra next year - should be some good bargains about soon.
