Hi, been offered a Ransom 20 carbon at a bargain price from a friend, who just hasn't used it, so in mint codition. Does anyone on here use one? Are they overkill for british trail centres? Have you managed to convert one to more 'trail bike' than 'all mountain'? Thanks

Had a Ransom 30 for a couple of years.
With the remote adjustable shock, you really can use it for most things. Probably a bit "much" if you only do xc and trail centres, but as an all rounder that will do xc and also take on big days in proper mountains, I think it would be hard to beat.
I'd like a carbon one if I get another.
Not to sure if i will be 'over biked', never even thought of one untill this cropped up in conversation! I am thinking of a trip to Morzine or somewhere in the summer, and think it would be handy for there. Then possibly selling afterwards!
