Seems like a neat idea but....
Does anyone know if you have to split the hose each time to remove it from the clamp guide, or have they thought of that?

I asked the same thing, the hose guide is split to get the hose in and it will cope with the split on the seatpost being at the front or the rear..

Got one here, there is a slot in the inner ring so no you do not. It's very nice
