Thinking about getting one, any opinions?
What do you think of them?
Cheers.
Bump
i've got a cube reaction 29er, only had it a few weeks but so far so good, covers the ground so fast! and quite comfy to for a hardtail.
Check out the ltd pro 29er in black anodized finish. Nice bike for the money.
Bought a Reaction SL 29er and my observations are thus:
It's a weapon. Ridiculously fast.
top tube is very short - I'm only 5'10" but bought a 19" Frame in the end so go large on the sizing. Even this is short in the top tube but as I have short arms, thats fine ๐
Kit is very good but the wheels are a bit flexy and not tubeless compatible despite coming with tubeless ready tires!
Grips are a bit thin.
The Formula brakes appear to be R1's by another name - they squeal like a banshee but are utterly superb.
I'm really impressed with mine - lovely bike. Welcome to meet up of a ride & mess around if you're in the north.
Cheers guys, thanks for the offer of a test ride, but im in ludlow.
I have a stumpy fsr and a blue pig, so am thinking of trading in the blue pig for a reaction pro 29. I went to test ride one in hereford, and it felt really good. I use the stumpy and the blue pig for essentially the same thing, which is just larking around my local dh trails. I fancy something a bit more racey, and I guess the cube fits the bill.
Cheers
I've got a 2012 Reaction GTC SL 29er and like fizzicist and markrh say, it's a very fast XC weapon.
I've ridden it in events including a 24 hour enduro (in awful conditions) and the Manx End2End and it's been reliable, comfortable and taken everything that's been thrown at it. Can't ask for more really!
I have a 2013 Reaction GTC SLT. It's fast, light, well balanced and flies over all terrain. Get one, you won't be disappointed.
I'd got a 2012 Ltd sl29, love it.
Can't help but dream about how much faster I'd be on the Reaction gtc sl which is 5lb lighter though......
Would it be bad form to put a dropper on it? Being an xc race type bike n all?
I do yearn for a dropper at times, but I'm not sure it really goes with the asthetics of the bike, if you can handle that, go for it . . .
I got the reaction gtc sl 29er and it's the most comfy bike I have ever had. It covers ground really quick, spec is ffantastic, performs great on steeper stuff to due to the big wheels it doesn't give you the feeling that the front wheel is going to tuck in I wouldn't change it for any other bike!
