Am off to Knysna in South Africa late october, was wondering if anyone on here is from there or has ridden there and could suggest me a couple of nice routes in the local area?

No and no, but i have spent a lot of time there and always wished i had my bike! I spotted loads of great looking trails. Plenty of thorns though, so you might want to go tubeless or something.
There's a decent looking mtb shop in nearby Sedgefield so maybe you could ask them about routes.
The Cape Epic had it's prologue there in 2008 (starting at the Pezula Estate - very nice indeed) so there is some reasonable riding there. Worth contacting the local bike shops to see what they have to say.
While you're there, the elephant sanctuary is worth a visit too. Completely unrelated to biking, but great to see such amazing creatures up close.
