What! Not riding 'cause the the weather is bad!...just joking, the pub sounds like a good back-up plan actually, or we could do what I've always wanted to do which is a pubcrawl taking in the Fox, the Royal Oak, The Sportsman, The other Royal Oak and the Devonshire Arms, but maybe not if the weather is going to bad as all that coming and going would be too horrid if you are soaking wet!
If it is a bike based pub crawl I will need to borrow a bike lock from someone. I hear all northerners are thieving scum ๐
Jules, if I make it over tomorrow - not sure - I'll chuck a spare battery in just in case, I have several of the things, all Lumi compatible. I guess I could break the habit of a lifetime and drive over, oooh, hang on, idea...
An I wouldn't bring a bike lock, someone'll just nick and sell it for scrap...
The weather is absolutely horrid! Are you sure you want to come
up North WCA? It really is grim. The wind is so strong it has blown a fence panel right of it's posts and if it continues like this we will do well to even reach one pub. But the achievement would justify hours of celebrations I suppose!
I reckon it can just be a trip to the pub then. It is blowing a gales down here too.
BTW, it's worth reinforcing this point. DON'T RELY ON SATNAV. Make sure you follow the directcions on the site to get to the B&B.
Let's take a decision around 4pmish as to the evening plans, shall we?
Bike is going in the boot just in case
Expensive southerner bike coming oop north folks, get prepared for robbery....

Your bringing chips. That's all that matters

How quaint, you're genuinely considering just going to the pub? Tsssk... it's not even winter yet.
Sunny in Northampton at the moment.
At the moment here it's beautiful sunshine, what photographers call "the golden hour". It's lovely, lighting up the huge grey rain clouds to the east of the office, right over Stockport....
Right, it's increadibly gusty and not pleasant but that shouldn't stop us from using our bikes to eventually get to the pub. So for those who are planning to come over here tonight, if you'd rather not cycle then meet us in the Fox in Brookbottom for about 8.30. For those who plan to do some riding we'll set of from my house and do "the long route" but staying on this hillside on the way to the pub, setting off as close to 7.30 as possible. See whoever is coming at 7.30!
I'm going running instead, I'm off oop further north for the weekend and I can't be arsed to ride all the way over and back and then wash the bike [because I'm lazy that way] but have a lovely ride.
I'm in, I'll be riding over. The wind seems quite warm, or maybe it's just that our house is very cold!
Bunnyhop will meet us at the pub and I'll cheat and grab a lift home ๐
