WOL to Currie, through Heriot Watt to the canal, along to Ratho, down to Newbridge, along the cycle path to Sout Queensferry and back through Dalmeny Estate? Maybe a cheeky wee pub stop. Thinking leave around 7ish.

WOL path was pretty rutted & icy yesterday. Braver man than me to do it in the dark...but then I'm a coward

Might have been up for it if I'd seen this sooner but the CX is sitting on slicks, spare wheelset doesn't have a cassette, no idea if the lights are charged. Would be a gamble so I think I'll pass and head to a warm spin class!

i am riding the mtb home - probably up through town/canal as the Dean part of the WOL is still blocked.

I'll be joining the WOL at Murrayfield anyway - hopefully the rest of it is clear.

It is not too bad round about the dell. The ground is quite rutted under the snow though so can be exciting.

The snow and ice where there was some was in great condition. Quite grippy and predictable when traction was broken.
