I'll just use that list up there and give folk 15mins grace each day. Cheers for making my life a bit easier.

If the weather is really shit i have some grim weather options, but being a kayaker and former ranger my definition of grim weather is pretty ****ing grim. Come well wrapped up if the weather looks bad.

I'll be there come hell or high water tomorrow. Are we meeting at the Red Bull car park? I'll be in a white Citreon van with a red Tinbred in the back. My mate was thinking of coming too, he's got a blue Polo and will prob be riding a battered Klein.

Blue Hyundai i30, silver Titus Motolite on which I'll be attempting to not fall off as quickly as I did at the last STW meet... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Kudos George et al - if I hadn't had to work today, still wouldn't have gone out! Hope it's calmer tomorrow.

No hard core in sight for one thing. Loads of roots for another. And some water and mud. And did we mention the wind yet.

It was a big long, 42 mile, ride on mostly open moorland. Double track with some nice sections of rooty singletrack, technically i'd say it is more tricky than the red at GT by a fair distance, but thats because the red at GT is like riding on the pavement.

Have a look at the pictures on one of the earlier pages. It's not technical, it is pretty fast.

Wouldnt you know it, been up half the night while last nights meal deceided whether it liked being in my stomach or not (it didn't btw). Feeling fragile but coming anyway - want to at least see the way out. There's plenty chances to bail, eh?

Thy Gypsy Glen loop is only around 10-12 miles or so and there are no real chances to bail on it. But plenty chances to go hide and have an evacuation.

Once you get into GT the options for bailing are limitless.

Yes indeed, a fine way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. More kudos to George for bringing it together, and not a stack to be seen (up to Glentress at least??). Reckon that 1st climb through the heather may be THE new challenge. Some photo efforts from the day -

And a few more here

P.S. is Glentress dust actually the most penetrative substance on the planet?

I didn't get many photos today, and they were mostly crap. Great ride thought! Don't feel shagged now as I did at the Hub.
