Any good as a replacement?

I had something moderately similar where the tube got caught and inflated with a wierd fold in it, but that was during assembly, not in the back of a car.
this has been ridden for 1500 miles since the tube went in also
My mates did that, took it back to the shop as it was brand new and they replaced it, no quibble.
Looks like maybe the tread is delaminating from the carcass, not sure why being in the car would lead to it though. Excessive heat being the old real thing that can happen in a car but I wouldn't have thought even 50c would cause it, although if there was already a fault then maybe it could accelerate it.
Definitely don't carry on riding it like that though, apart from giving a lot of vibration it could end up with a blow out and a nasty accident.
Could try a warranty return from where you bought it (1500 miles isn't a reasonable life for a road tyre) or just chalk it up to experience and buy something better.
Not saying it happened in the car - was like that when it came out so probs went in like that
Have you hit any potholes, bumps, kerbs hard? Looks as if you may have hit a pothole at speed and although it didn't pinch flat it has bent the wire (?) bead. I had a similar occurence on my commuter with cheap wire bead tyres when I rode up a curb 1/2 p!*sed.
if it's not a wire bead tyre I don't know!
Delamination of some sort - will blow out pretty quickly so don't ride it. If it's new (rather than just new on that tube) then potential warranty.
