Due an endowment payout in June - share markets and potential money issues by then may put plans on hold. But something featuring titanium and GRX would be nice.

@alex yeah but it was the medium. felt pretty small to me but then I’m already on a large Guide, so ordered a large.

Thanks @tomhoward. I’ll definitely try the large then.

@bedmaker

Long, not slack, 29er bikepacking and general knocking about bike. Slidey drops with inserts for Rohloff, SS or 142×12. Space for a huuuge framebag as well as barnacles on the HT and seatstays for racks in a Trek 1120 stylee.
Kinesis carbon fork ready to go on it, and it’s corrected for a 120 29er fork if I fancy.
Amy at Waltly kindly threw in a bundle of facemasks for me, very thoughtful!

Sounds good! Presumably it's Ti - any pics yet?

I don't need a new bike, but I'll aim to put some cash into the till down at Blazing Saddles somehow.

Tempted by the Aeris deal that was recently posted....
Was in negotiation for a new job that was commutable by bike before corona put things on hold. Couldn't decide on getting a gravel bike (one possible route would be via a river path) and leaving my Trek Domane for best or commute on the Trek and get a s****y road bike as the Trek was lowish spec.

Yep, hopefully by then we will have finished our house move, the finances will have washed through & i'll be able to start looking at a new ebike 🙂

Tempted by a Rallon, to extend my Orbea family. Might be skint by then, though.

I wonder whether N will represent children for a few folk? (Not me, I hasten to add!)

If that's the case then N-1 is a bit harsh.

All being well I really fancy the new pace carbon job.

In theory I'll save enough to cover it over the next few months as a result of not being able to spend it but the pessimist in me thinks ill need anything I've saved for other stuff.

I was planning a HT build but just found what looks like a crack on my full suss frame so plans may change. FML.

Technically speaking, mine is N-1 as it'll replace two bikes.

The best part about N-1 is you now have space for a totally different bike!

Lusting after an ebike, I don't know why...none of my riding group have them, so I'd probably end up riding it by myself.

I’ve already got my N+1. I was going to build it up and ride it for the summer but it seems I won’t be able to for a little bit. I’ve got some nice 90’s parts for it as well....

If we do move house, plan is to get an e-bike for the wife - put the elderly Bassett hound in a tow-along trailer and I'll have the Labrador giving me a tow up front!

Curses.

Now I'm looking at RocketMax.

A good time to have indecision, I suppose.

Just bought a flashy new race hardtail a few weeks before all races for the foreseeable future were cancelled. Kind of wish I'd bought another (better) gravel bike instead now. Might see how the next six months shapes up before n+2.

Planning on building up a loved but currently not in use frame. Not sure if shopping about for parts is the right thing to do right now. Might be the ideal time, helping keep the bike industry chain moving… might be considered too frivolous.

I've just bought a Cannondale Topstone, great timing! I did think about returning it, ordered a while ago and only arrived this week. I figured, I can survive, the bike shop might not... and it is lovely.

I'll be tubeless-ing it tomorrow and going for a local pootle.

I have two bikes to strip and sell, not sure if it's worth it at the moment.

Considering I’ve bought, er, a few in the last couple years no way can I justify another (and considering I’ve two frames amoulderin up in the loft, even less reason to).

To be honest, I just want to ride what I got before I die...

I'm going to treat myself to a new Ripmo I think, wanted one for ages, not strictly N+1 as it'll replace the HD3.
Not sure wether to go for the V2 or get a bargain V1... decisions, decisions.

Blatant add alert !!
I have a bike for sale in the classified's at the moment (trek remedy will do a good deal for stw)

I want to try these new 29er down country bikes so I'm looking to buy an Ibis Rilpley V4.
I don't use the remedy to its full potential and have accepted that I'm not my teenage self that has no fear. I'm more if a wheels on the ground rider now.
The big stop to this is if engineers report for the house I'm hopefully buying shows no subsidence and the mortgage is released for the purchase to go ahead.

It was going to be a speedmax, given that the chance of any races this year is slim to none, and ive got no justification in spending money in the current circumstances im mainly hoping that a pair of scrotes will do my garage over and take the fleet, as its all insured for quite a bit and n-1 or 2 would be no bad thing.

Then a top spec aeroad and the rest in the piggy bank for a new enduro bike next year if the alps will have us back. (Or to pay the mortgage for a few months if this carries on!)

I'm going the other way. N-20 and that will still leave me with too many bikes.

Basically get rid of the "collectables" and just keep the bikes I like to ride.

Nothing like the potential visit from the Reaper to make one realise what a problem a large bike collection is for non-enthusiast executors...

Quite fancy a Bombtrack Hook carbon. Be nice with an axs mullet build Custom build but it’s prob much better value buying the whole bike with rival...

I managed an accidental n+1 on Sunday. Went for a walk with a friend who asked me if I wanted her ex's old bike for nowt.

I'm now the slightly bemused owner of genesis fortitude with alfine hub gears

It's slightly too small and I'm trying to figure out how much of a problem that is

Would make a great commuter/ bike packing bike

I ordered a new Orbea Occam from my localish bike shop towards the end of January. Delivery was estimated as 24th Feb from the factory and I'm still waiting. Hopefully it'll be ready for the day this all blows over.

possibly, come july, they'll be a lot of consumers wanting to spunk there saved cash

I'm seeing some proper deals already but i've decided against ordering as its not a key essential, people will argue we should help the economy, but it'll bounch on the otherside, 90% of the pop just need to hunker down and get through this

Was going to be buying a Fairlight Strael, should have ordered it by now but in present climate now waiting until September.
I also need new wheels for my summer road bike. Was looking at Zipp 404s to replace my Reynolds Strike, the Strike are great wheels but as I can’t remove tyres if I get a flat I’m in trouble. But Mrs W is very risk adverse so that’s out of the question as well.
I’m self employed and even though Mrs W works we still need my income.
Tempted to get Mrs W very drunk on Friday to help her agree with my new wheels....otherwise I’ll have a £4K bike sat in the garage un-rideable because of the damn wheels.

Well , I have jumped already and bought a Solaris Max. The idea was that it would be a low buck build, using stuff from spares box and other rarely ridden bikes. Needless to say that's not happening . Lock down inspired internet browsing has lead to all kind of irrelevant upgrades. I can see this being a very expensive build before I can actually ride it very far.
Global civilisation will have crumbled but I will have a nice bike to have in my cave.

Was about to go ahead with either a Whyte 909 or LEVO SL(haven’t decided on which yet) on CTW scheme before the crisis....

If I survive this without major pain (looking at substantial pay cut ATM) I will celebrate with one of the above....although the Ribble HT725 has crept into view....

The Cotic Factory Outlet email which landed this week hasn’t exactly helped. The Bfe is looking very tempting (please leave it for me...)

Got an itch for n+1 and was thinking, is the cycle to work scheme still valid at the moment? Apologies in advance if its already been mentioned! Not read rest of thread as yet...

I think I might do some, er, rationalisation. I've been thinking about a FlareMAX for ages, but always wondering if the seat-tube angle was going to be too slack for me. The Gen 3 version seems to have sorted that, so I no longer have that particular excuse.

Plan would be to run it with both b+ and 29er wheels depending on whims, but I might have to do some shifting of other stuff first.

Planning seems a bit of a foreign country at the moment. It feels like we're all living day-to-day with a very limited event horizon - in my case the stone wall at he back of the house.

Was thinking building a gravel bike with spares and a new frame but realised I only have enough spares for rim brakes, or flat bar discs. Then thought about a 1x shopping/commuter panniered not bothered where I lock it up bike either drops or flat. Not knowing how long this shit will last is not helping with motivation though.
