Got the usual Monday night ride in an hr and it looks grim out. It always ends well though, in the pub with a roaring log fire, bit of banter, peanuts and a pint
Might even dig out the bib longs, soft I know, but at least I'll be dry and warm in them ๐
Not tonight... tomorrow and Thursday though ๐
i reckon i'll go for a lone bimble around broxbourne woods ๐
shoulder is f'ed so no,
Well it was cold, wet and windy. Still glad I went out though.
At one point the right hand side of my face was numb, the wind hammering sleet/light hail into you and forcing you to alter direction with every gust. Then the sleet turned to snow and laid down 3" on Charity Lane and the higher ground, made the climbs a bit more challenging and the downs a whole lot more fun. In the shelter of the Forest it was actually very pleasant and winter wonderland'ish.
Nowt better than a roaring log fire and a pint after either.
Roll on Thursday.
last night was sweet. just me and my mate marvelous ed on his first ride since snapping his femur in the summer. off out again tonight ๐
Yeh - ride tonight! Should be a 25 mile round trip with a pub in the middle (ish!) ๐
Sort of. Won't get very far though as it's spinning!
Riding to the other side of town for an hours spinning class then riding across town to get home. ๐
There's an open chain gang meet up that I'm hoping to get to, nothing too bonkers but good interval training, there has been a bit of sleet so it could keep things interesting.
off to the farmers boy, brickendon soon for a pre ride pint..... my daughter chops is up for riding too = winner! ๐
