I am visiting family in Kirkby Stephen tomorrow and was thinking of leaving early and doing the first half of the run from Sedburgh to Ravenstonedale, getting picked up by Mrs MarvPreston and then grabbing the van on the way home!!!
Anyone know how she's holding up at the moment??? Did it in June 2012 and although it was a long slog for not much gain on the second half of the loop, the decent from the calf to Ravenstonedale was the best experience I'd had on a bike at the time
Not been up there for ages but I'd imagine it's pretty dry ATM.
I did it last year after the very dry, hot, spell last year and it was still holding bog in places on the descent. There were a few places where the track had slipped away too, so it wasn't as flowing and fun as I expected.
