Managed to get on the FoD one in July 🙂
Is it just a normal uplift day or is there anything different they do for the day? Competitions etc?
Any of you lot going?
Did last years FoD one. Got a goodie bag at the beginning, and there was a BBQ on for lunch (cost about £5, but massive portions). There was a free raffle at the end for Bell helmets and T-shirts.
It was a good day out, and we had fun riding the trails and some off-piste stuff. However, I was disappointed with the uplift. I only ended taking it up once as the queue was so long it seemed pointless waiting for 40 minutes when I could ride/push up to the DH trials in 10 minutes. We did the DH trails a few times and then headed off for some more trail-type fun. I do feel they should have put on more vans and trailers for the day.
If you're taking a DH Bike then be prepared to wait around a bit, but is was a good excuse to ride there 😉
