Happy New Year old fart!

Yes but some flasks are better than others. I have a small (.3 litre) Tesco flask which keeps coffee warm for a few hours.

The best one is the Zojirushi (Rolls Royce of flasks) and that will stay warm for 8 hours. Check out T K Maxx as they do appear in there now and again.

Tesco ones are quite good and cheap. I always carry a Thermos and a hip flask in winter.

Yep, a flask of warm strong tea is a must on long cold rides!
I use a stanley flask, bommb proof and keeps the tea hot for longer thanany other flask I've used.

I expect many of you may know this already, but a good tip for flasks is to pre-heat it by filling from the kettle and standing for a couple of minutes, then pour out and finally fill with your coffee/tea.

I normally carry a 330ml stainless steel flask of hot choc in winter, which is very heartening on a cold ride, but the weather was so poor in 2009 I carried on using it right through! If I prewarm the flask it's still too hot to drink straight off 4 hours later (£3 flask from Home Bargains)
