Anyone have any tips how to go about it.
I'm going to build it ontop of the current ground level rather then dig down into it.

Ask on SingletrAction we are on Mk3 at the moment up at Dalby.
Mk1 at Stainburn (watch this space for a major rebuild).
Mk2 at Thackley, riding well and being extended as we speak.
Mk3 at the building stage....

I was sort of involved in building one. I'd say do half and half - half above and half below - only so the earth you scrape out is used to make the bumps etc - otherwise you'll have to move a hell of a lot of earth in to build.
