A bit princess and the pea, but I cannot get my Arione saddle level with the notched seatpost on my Giant. It either points slighthly up or slightly down. So I thought I could add some coke can (TM) around the rails at the front or rear of the clamp. Anybody else had to do this? Any joy? Or was a new seatpost required?

I would go for Jenny Tail reassignment.

Cheap new seatpost, or plastic surgery on your balls?? Tough choice!!

To be honest, it's not a comfort issue, just the fact that it's not perfectly level. It's a notched Giant C5 carbon affair. Funny, the Flite Ti didn't suffer from this, and the Arione was flat on another bike. A Ritchey carbon WCS beckons...

If its not a comfort issue why are you trying to change it? ๐Ÿ˜•

Increase or decrease your tyre pressure accordingly...

+1

FWIW I hate notched seatpost clamps for this very reason - just can never get it quite right. twin bolt, 1 fore & 1 aft of the clamp on all my seatposts now!
