As the title says, I have XTR 985 disc brakes but dont want to run the centre lock discs as I want hope hubs. I want to know if this combo is ok I.e uneven pad wear etc. Any info very welcome.

Just get the 6 bolt Shimano discs.

The caliper will hit the rivets on the rotor...nothing that can't be solved with a bit of judicious filing.You can get Ice Tech rotors in 6 bolt you know,

I used them successfully for a while ,but changed to 6 bolt xt floating rotors which are a lot better.

Yep running xtr with floaters but only 160 front and back.. (close but not rubbed yet.. touch wood 🙂
180 just wouldn't fit with prob filing away some of the caliper ;-/
