yep. got a normal geared rigid 26" wheel one.

it's very 'rigid'. fun.

quite 'long' but spot on sizing for what it's for.

great bike. shite name.

one of my mates commutes on his (05/06 rigid one), and really loves it Now it has a carbon post he says its well comfy (but a bit harsh for his tender lower back before) and great fun to ride.
Personally, for canals and work I would go for something which you can at least put full mudguards on, can't remember if newest badboys are drilled etc for this.

Had a 2009 for 6 months - 26 inch. It is a long frame & takes some getting used to at 1st but when you do, its fast as **** & makes you grin on the road. I think anything off road and you'll be jarred all over the place as they are stiff... love it though... T

been riding mine since mid summer last year,

[IMG] [/IMG]

ss version, 74 miles a week commute, added carbon post and bars for comfort, changed tires for armadillo's, kmc tin chain so i don't have to adjust it too much and a lovely middleburn R7 and uno chainset with skf BB,

[IMG] [/IMG]

very quick, bit jarry, 700 quid new, i drop it down curbs and its fine,
ss is so perfect for work as i dont have to worry about a thing, no cable stretch, no ghosting etc,,and its made my xc stamina go mental, plus developed my upper body strengh and my man boobs have gone 😯

my mate at work also rides a BadBoy but he has a ultra with a carbon lefty and gears, he swears by them too for work runs.

The chain looks too loose on the one above.

The old ones were just MTB frames painted black to look baaaaaaaad. At least the new ones are purpose built and that fork sort of looks cool even if it is utterly pointless. You might as well just buy a 90's rigid MTB and stick slicks on it though.

chain hasn't been adjusted for a while agreed, but what's too slack ?

it has never come off as my testies and chin are intact, but have it too tight and i will have to get another freewheel body, it seems to run nicely how it is, just needed a lizard to stop it sawing through the stay 😮

Maybe the chain has worn and just needs replacing. I can't remember if the new Bad Boys have horizontal dropouts / EBB or any other way of taking up chain slack.

Ive been commuting on my '09 v brake model for a year now and its ace - best £470 I,ve ever spent on a bike! - only upgraded to spd's and thats it!! although carbon post and stem - would be ideal. tried recently to get used rigid carbon forks for it to no avail.

ace bike tho' - get one for better than the equiv. Marin!
