A house move may be in order, one or the other. How the off-road opportunities around these ?

There appears to be some lumpy bits to the South of Pershore, with Shipston, not so much.

Any real world experience out there ?

TIA

I've lived near both towns at various points and grew up in the area.

Bredon hill is a nice xc ride near Pershore. You've got the Wyre Forest and FoD not too far away. BPW not too far away.

Shipston is xc with Whichwood nearby. Bit clay-heavy though. Ilmington hill from what I recall but nothing to get excited about.

Both have Cheltenham with Leckhampton and 417 not too far away (close to Pershore).

Pershore has the Avon running thru it with loads of SUP activity to be done there and is near the M5/M50 escape route to south west and Welsh coastlines....

I'm in Evesham , a few miles away from Pershore . Bredon hill is the local hill and its okay , it gets very claggy in the winter - sticky clay . Other localish riding at Broadway , Buckland area and Cleeve hill . As Mikertroid says FoD and Wyre are close and offer loads of off piste stuff .

I was brought up near Pershore and live only 25mins away now under the Malverns.

Bredon hill is a nice place to have on your doorstep, Malverns easy to get to and to get into the Forest of Dean is pretty straightforward, Broadway and riding on the Cotswolds only 25mins to the east too.

Good motorway links for travels further.

Pershore is a nice Market town. Coincidentally we're going out with some friends in Pershore tonight which I havent done for years. Low on the chav content, bit brexity, but not bad and Worcester is a good city to have nearby. Cheltenham if you want to do posh.

I dont know Shiptston

I'd echo what all the others have said about local riding and escaping.

Shipston itself isn't too bad. A bit non descript. I think I'd rather live in Pershore though.

Fair bit of xc around both areas, Whichford, Brailles hill etc. Gets muddy mind. There's worse places to be.

Yes Malverns v close to Pershore. I was living in Broadway until April this year-there are a few tracks worth exploring off the ridge.....

Pershore would get my vote any day... rail station nearby, Cheltenham close, close to Wales...

I live in Bredon, so always keen to hear of more local riding spots.  I ride Bredon hill rarely but always enjoy it when I do.  Nothing in anyway technical there it’s just an XC up and down.  I mainly ride in FOD which is in easy reach but still an hours drive from me, Ross on wye is closer and there are some exceptional trails there for sure

I'm in Malvern. There's some good trails on the hills.
