[Closed] Any updates on the Charge Plug 5, opportunities to get one w/o Sram kit?

I've been deliberating over steel road/cross/touring bikes and really like the look of the Charge Plugs, and as a previous very happy Charge owner am certainly tempted.

I see the Plug 5 still isn't available in a lot of places because of the SRAM brake issue, which is fine by me because I really don't want SRAM brakes anyway, and not especially keen on the drivetrain kit either.

The obvious answer is the Plug 4 with Shimano kit (albeit Avid cable brakes, but these could be swapped for shimano at a later date, unlike the SRAM hydros). However the Plug 5 has a higher quality frame.

Anyone spoken to a shop about getting a Plug 5 with Plug 4 kit on it?

I'd ask myself but I'm still in the window shopping phase for another 4 months... 8)
