Right then,i'm looking at buying a 2nd hand 2009 ex8 and its a 19.5 virtual, 18.5 actual.
I'm 5FT 11" 32/33 inside leg, I normally ride an Orange 5 18" or a large heckler, question is does this seem the right size?

Who else has a fuel, and what size do they ride (actual) and whats their leg and height measurements?

Hope that made sense ๐Ÿ™‚

You're the same height/inside leg as me and my fuel fits well thing is I'm not sure that its a 19.5/18.5, but it could well be.

If I dont get home too late, I'll check tonight.

Look up the top tube lengths, its a way of comparing

The virtual number is the one that is meant for comparison to other brands. So virtual 18.5 is meant to be similar to an 18" orange

I'm 6 foot 4 and ride a virtual 21.5, post nearly all the way out.Its way bigger than my elderly 21 inch orange gringo. My inside leg is huge maybe be 36 inches, for bike purposes.

5 top tube effective 602mmm

fuel ex 19.5 628mm

thats from here

I'm 5'10" and sat on both the 17.5/18.5 and 18.5/19.5 , and found there's really not that much difference. I suspect 18.5 is probably the recommended size for me, but I bought a 2nd hand 19.5 and its been absolutely fine.
