Looking to get a commuter bike. Currently I have a Charge mixer with an 8 speed Alfine hub and disk brakes. My route is 35km of small roads, bike paths, urban cobbles and curbs. Would like something faster a lighter but not too expensive. Fast geometry but robust with rack and mud guard mounts. Needs to ship to Sweden if possible. I know nothing about road bikes.

Looking at these:

If you're looking to buy from Evans, also check the Pinnacle Arkose models (their own brand) - good value for money.

What about the London Road?

What about the London Road?

Popular, well designed bike let down by intermittantly poor manufacturing. Specifically lots of customers ended up with frames that had super baggy seat tubes, so they had to bodge them with shims to get the seat post to fit. All depends on how lucky you feel! ๐Ÿ™‚
