Haven't got one yet but seriously thinking about it. I have some u turn revs so would prob use those. What type of headset does it use? The head tube looks like it is semi/ intergrated or is it standard.

Probably a bit naughty but I ran Wound down Pikes (c130). Revs would be fine. GREAT frame.

130mm u-turn coil revs on mine. Only had it a few weeks but rides really well.

What seatclamp are you lot using? My Salsa Fliplock that came off my PA won't do up by hand with it.

Do you have them set at 130 Roach? Is the frame designed for 130 forks?

I'm selling my 18" one if you interested?

ran it with 80-120mm manipoo's for a ride, then my knee decided it was going to go bakc to being borked so its up for sale.

Are you selling frame only?
What sort of money are you looking for?

I was hoping to see a picture of the one Poddy folded in half, but no such luck...

🙁

i've got a breath (same geometry) if that helps?

currently just the frame and forks hanging on a wall. i ran it with air revs with a bit of sag. usually sitting at 115ish when wound out.

would usually wind them in for the climbs but then again i was usually climbing 1-2 hours when i was riding it.

[img] [/img]

really nice frame. very stable at speed and i felt i could ride almost anything on it (bar stupid big jumps etc).

really nice bike. building it back (for the GF) up similar to how it was last year so that i can ride it again with vengence....

I've only had a few rides on it so still sussing things out but so far I think it feels better for general riding at about 110-120. I've used the whole 130mm for the downs at Afan though and it seems to like it 😀

Looking forward to thrashing it round the Dyfi on sunday.

I have a breath and use MX Pro SL Bombers at 100mm. On very steep climbs I wouldn't go higher than that but if you get adjustable forks you could get the best of both worlds. It's a great bike to ride though and feels great on everything I ride.

(Edit- forgot poor quality photo)

bugger just lost my reply

£200 posted, usual scuff for a 2nd hand frame, im its 2nd owner but only got to ride it once. Includes most of a Cane creek headset (missing lower crown race, available off CRC).

I built it with mid/high end XC race kit somewhere arround 23-24lb and it absolutely flew. Just seemed to float past roots and rocks, not as fast downhill as my switchback, but somehow easier, the switchbak makes you pick it up off the ground and land it accurately to maintain speed, whereas this you just point and enjoy the ride.

Im selling as after the first ride i ruined my knee again and suspect I may never actualy get back to doing all day rides. And as a result will just be keeping the messing about bike.

If any one is interested, Boneshaker Bikes in Harrogate had the frame on offer behind the till with about £100 off. Looked largish, it was a few weeks ago now though.

Breath and Life weigh exactly the same- I've had em both on a set of scales. I have a set of U Turn Revs on my Breath generally set at 100mm.
Top bike!

Anyone run bigger than 160 rotor at the back? - clearance is really tight on mine (not that you need bigger)

I'm running RS Duke's at 80mm and i really don't think anything bigger than a 160 rotor will fit. also bought a superstar headset, fits perfectly. Love it, it's understated and a really nice ride.

Out of curiosity, does every have riser bars? I'm toying with getting rid of the flat bar but am undecided.

can't get bigger than 160 on the back.

used riser bars because that is what i had lying around after the bikerack fell off the car car with the bike still attached. bent the bugger out of the old flat bars and stuck the riser on.

prefered it.
