Loads. Explore Crychan and Irfon forests - loads of enduro trails etc. Manmade trails at Coed Trallwm.

Dunno if this works but here are a couple of routes in the Crychan:

Or try the Real Ale Wobble routes in the Irfon

Coed Trallwm is mildly diverting, Cwm R is worth a few laps

Depends on how you get your kicks!

I am also a qualified but very competitively priced MTB guide if you're that way inclined

Doethe Valley, west of Llyn Brianne, technical XC singletrack, ride it N to S.

Loads of stuff near Rhayader, mainly on the hills between the town and the Elan Valley reservoirs. Particularly good one is the landrover doubletrack descending SE off the mountain almost into Rhayader itself.

Both these routes documented somewhere on tinterweb if you have a google.

Thanks everyone.. just ended up doing the gorlech trail at brechfa instead.
Knowing that it will be gone within a year I thought I'd better pay a few visits this year.
