Haven't got fat bikes so beach is a no go. 🙁

Family holiday so no time for all day epics, just looking for a cheeky 2-3 hours, ideally no more than 30 mins drive away.

Any pointers much appreciatd. Thanks

You don't need a fat bike to ride the beaches.

30 minutes away there's Wooler for the Cheviots, Ingram for ermm so more of the Cheviots and Thrunton.

Or head up and down the cost for some great beaches and pubs.

Which one is best for a Cheviots amble. Any recommendations for a shortish route?

Derek Purdy's MTB guide book for Northumberland is very good.
Several decent rides in that area, the triangular one from Wooller was great.

S'a bit old now, but a great book nontheless.

If you're anywhere near Burnley you're welcome to borrow it.

Thrunton.

Either Wooler or Ingram is good for the Cheviots just puts you at a different side.

Ain`t there woods near Wooler with man made trails?
Cannot remember the name...

Quite a few green lanes around the area, nothing hard but ideal if your cycling with family,
Also the North Sea Cycle route is from Bamburgh to Berwick which is often grass and easy but worth doing for the coastal scenery with an option to stop out on Holy island at low tide for some Mead 🙂

As above, get Purdy's book.

Round of Greensheen Hill, Bewick Moor, etc. It's only £7.50 😉
