That I don't have to sell a kidney for!

Having just forked out over 700 notes for high quality, high prescription varifocals I just want a cheap pair of single vision riding glasses. Short sighted at -6.6 and -8.5 so quite meaty lenses needed so ideally quite small glass area to keep em thinnish. Looking at current trends in Enduro style eyewear this should be OK. Anyone got any recommendations?

EDIT If they can be worn not just for cycling but as casual eyewear then that's a bonus.

I'm using Oakley Holbrooks. Pretty happy with them.

Look at goggles4u.co.uk, you may well get yourself some varifocals riding specs for less than fifty quid. I know because I've got two pairs from them.

Really happy with Rad8 here- it’s the squarer frame. Prescription not quite as strong as yours (-5ish) but fit in fine.
I’ve barely used contacts since I got them 3 years or so back, use them for loads beyond biking.
