[#2096838]

Off to Madrid for 3 nights tomorrow with the wife.

Anyone got any recommendations for places to go, visit, see, eat, drink?

(realise I've left it a bit late in the day, just thought I'd see what replies I can get in the next few hours!)

I was over for 4 days to see my team Aberdeen plays Athletico Madrid a few years back . It was a bit of a drunken haze but I remember the best bits being the guided tour of Real Madrid , The royal Palace and lots and lots of bars. I went for a bit of a wnder and found the most amazing sports facility with loads of football pitches , driving ranges and a par 3 golf course all In astroturf which was cool . There are a lot of nice bars near Plaza del sol but on the whole was quite dissapointed as Im a big lover of Barcelona as a City .
Still enjoy.

Thanks stanfree, I'm a big fan of Barcelona as well so probably won't be able to resist making comparisons. Always good to try out new places though!

Yes, Real Madrid well worth it, even for non footy fan. Also the Metro is well worth using. Cheap, clean, quick and easy to use. Prado as well. You can book tickets here before you leave.
