Hi All,

I'm thinking of getting the new 853 tubed Sirius with slidy dropouts for a SS i'm building up. Anyone got any experience with the Sirius/Pipedream in general. Seem like nice frames, and great value.

Cheers

Shorts

Yes Got one in 853. Nice frame. Rides like an explosif with more travel. Best with fork at 100m OK with up to 130. Nicely finished although paint scratches with dirty brushes when/if you clean it. Worth a try rather than an on one?

Cheers Andy,

They do look good and i want to run it with a longer fork. Also much less common than an on one!

So is the one you have the new 2010 design with the slidy dropouts?

I raise my eyebrow at their worryingly cheap titanium frames

Quality of finish, frame strength, customer service that sort of thing.

Seems all good so far, got an email reply on Christmas Day!

Think i'm pretty much decided though, the new frame looks really nice.

Hi Shorts, it not got the slidy dropouts. If the new one is as good and with those dropouts it will be a good do anything bike.
It seems like its only two guys who run the business as well as having fulltime jobs, so they may not be the easiest to get in touch with all the time. I bought my frame from their (only?) dealer near stockport. He was really helpful and even offered to strip a built frame so that could get what i wanted there and then.
